Baptist Community Ministries, The Catholic Foundation Archdiocese of New Orleans, the Greater New Orleans Foundation, and United Way of Southeast Louisiana are partnering in a first-ever effort to acknowledge the thousands who contributed to the rebuilding, recovery, and renaissance of our region. Fun And Fellowship for Seniors

They are in their 80s, 90s, even 100 years old, and they come here to see what the day offers. They gather for crafts, bingo and Bible study, but they also boogie to the beat of line dancing and get their groove on at Zumba gold classes. They all make their way to Mercy Endeavors Senior Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, to see friends, learn new skills and expand their horizons. They participate in hat-decorating contests, high tea parties, gospel fests, and birthday bashes. These folks are excited about doing, learning and chatting—they’re not ready to sit back and whittle away the hours in solitude.
